Project handover pack contents
By Inara Crest Engineering 1 min read
What a complete ICT project handover should include, from as-built drawings and test results to warranties and support contacts.
The handover pack is how your organisation operates, supports and later changes what was delivered. Agree its contents at the start of the project.
1. As-built documentation
Floor plans with outlet locations, network diagrams, rack elevations and single-line power diagrams as installed — not as designed.
2. Test and commissioning records
Cable certification reports, acceptance test results and sign-off records.
3. Configurations and credentials
Device configurations and administrator credentials, handed over securely into your password manager.
4. Asset list
Every device with model, serial number, location and warranty dates.
5. Manuals and training materials
User guides, administrator guides and records of training delivered.
6. Warranties and licences
Warranty certificates, licence keys and subscription details in your organisation's name.
7. Support arrangements
Contacts, escalation routes and the terms of any maintenance agreement.
